what does symbolize for imbuir?

The drops in our logo and iV choices symbolize trust, quality and integrity. imbuir iV therapy treatments are administered by trusted medical professionals, our formulas are preservative/additive free and include the highest quality ingredients, and we always keep the integrity of the profession and patient in mind.

What is iV therapy?

Intravenous therapy (iV therapy at imbuir) was pioneered 40+ years ago by Dr. John Myers (founder of the Myers Cocktail) and is the infusion of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other nutrients directly into the blood stream.

Are vitamin infusions safe?

Yes, our infusions are very safe. We use iV nutrients that are free of preservatives, additives, or potential allergens.  We also take care to screen all of our patients before treatment and monitor them closely during the infusion.

How long does the treatment take?

Our iV’s generally take approximately 45-75 minutes.  Infusions of high dose Vitamin C can often take upwards of 2-3 hours.

What kind of iV's are available?

We offer several unique iV treatment options, and also customize iV treatments on an individual basis. For a full list please view our iV therapy menu.

Should i consider a treatment after partying or periods of stress?

Absolutely. The vitamins and minerals in our iV’s will help you with cellular rejuvenation and recovery. Whether you are feeling under the weather, fatigued from overexertion, or depleted from a night of partying, we can help!

Whare are the Imbuir iV hours?

The imbuir iV lounge is open 10am-7pm Monday to Thursday, Fridays 10am-5pm and Saturdays 10am-3pm.  We also offer private clinic hours for special events and large groups. Please call 1.905.332.2828 to book or inquire.

Are there any potential reactions to receiving an iV while on other medication?

There are few medications that interact with the iV therapy. We conduct a comprehensive history in order to make sure none of our patients are on medications that could have a potentially negative interaction.

Do iV's cause bruising?

Bruises or hematomas can happen if the iV punctures the vein and blood collects under the skin. Although not common, it is occasionally seen after the iV process. These effects usually recover, without complication, over time (within a few hours to days).

Is an iV painful?

Everyone’s pain threshold is different. While some people find needles to be relatively painless, others may find this process uncomfortable.  However, our experts have techniques that make this process extremely comfortable and relaxing. Feel free to inquire.

How will I feel after an iV?

Depending on your nutritional demands, coupled with your hydration status, you may see dramatic effects after the first iV. People who get regular iV’s will feel pronounced effects as their body starts to correct the nutritional deficiencies present.

How often can I get an iV?

Most of our iV’s can be administered on a weekly basis. Most individuals have iV therapy every 2-4 weeks.    Realistically, your iV therapy should be tailored to your body’s demand.

Are there any side effects from the iV process?

No major side effects are generally reported or experienced. Sometimes people report cooling of their arm or a metallic taste in their mouth. These are normal occurrences.
